Look 2012 (Finals)

Finally, the big day is here!  I have been waiting for this day for weeks now.  I am going to Carnival City for the Look 2012 Finals!

I’m so excited.  We were up early this morning to do my hair and to make sure that I have everything I need for today.  Now, to get my outfit and get ready …

My outfit was too big for me but luckily mom came prepared and fixed it in jiffy.  Our outfits were made beforehand and all the girls wore the same outfits.  There were so many girls and everyone was trying to get a spot where they could change.  Girls, bags, trolleys, make up and clothes all over the place!

The venue was stunning.  The ramp was much bigger than usual and the hall was packed.  This was different … interview rounds with the judges!  I’ve never done this before and I was so nervous.  The girls were called one by one for the interviews.  That was a bit scary but I think it went well.  Now on to the ramp!  That was such fun, I really enjoyed it.

Crowning:  All the category contestants were called onto the stage to receive certificates.  Then the top six were called out and from there the top 3 winners announced.  My name was called as the last of the top 6 contestants.  I was so happy! 

They announced the 2^nd Princess and then 1^st Princess.  They called:  “And the winner of this category is …….. my heart was pounding and my legs were shaking …. Cayla van Eeden!  I was overwhelmed and I just froze for a second.  I was really the winner of Look 2012!
